So…I wondering what should be my 100th post; and I think it would be great to celebrate it with a compilation of the Cathedrals in Europe ~ 🙂 So it’s a list of my choices of the most “memorable” cathedrals in Europe – They are the top of the list based on its look, its scale or its uniqueness.
Like Turkey, it was one of my great journeys – it’s exotic, it’s cultural, and it has a long, rich history. I have written about the Cotton Castle and the Salt flat, and I have also visited some man-made ancient Greek cities on the West Coast of Turkey – Troy, Pergamon and Ephesus.
Istanbul is a charming existence in Eurasia straddling the Bosphorus Strait between Europe and Asia. Taking a boat trip towards the Black Sea is an experience of “Europe on the left and Asia on the right”:). Must see places in the city includes museums, palaces, mosque and historic tram line!
We visited Ankara on the route of our way back to Istanbul from Cappadocia, and surprising enough, we went pass an amazing salt flat in Turkey where the sky and ground merge into one to create wonderful images.
Many places in the world are vanishing… due to pollution, depletion, deterioration or disasters.
