My impression of Helsinki: compact, cultural, clean and cool. I stayed in the city for a few days in winter, yet I found the city was welcoming and charming. Helsinki’s city center is compact and easy to navigate, while tourists could basically go anywhere on foot. Sure, the district would look much more lively and energetic during summer time, it does not necessarily mean it is a bad time to visit the fall. It has another kind of snowy charm at Christmas.

I heard a lot of “compact”, “stylish”, “cultured” when people are talking about Helsinki. Still, it seemed challenging to visit all museums on the list within 48 hours. Here are my recommendations of the 7 museums that I saw and it sort of explained how the “compact”, “stylish” and “culture” keywords are translated into the Finnish lives.
Well, I went to Tallinn just because it was a detour from the nearby Helsinki, and it was nice to add one more country in my “been-to” country list.
