The Scottish Highlands is an extraordinarily unique existence. It is not blessed with natural resources. It is filled with solid culture and history. Composed of ancient, scattered highlands, rocks were mold by numerous streams and glaciers and shaped to a stunningly beautiful landscape that shakes your core.
Holding the visitor’s guide in my hands it says “Welcome, a powerful place”. I was inspired the moment I stepped out of the Union Station, staring at the crossroad of politics and culture, and history and style. Washington D.C. takes at least 3 days for a first-timer to have an overview of what the cities have to offer. The volume of information might be a little bit overwhelming but here is a list of the must-sees in the city and that’s what I did. I hope it would give you some ideas for your visits, too!
I ended my visits to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum with a heavy heart . I do hope the painful lessons would remind people the importance of lasting peace.
Visiting Christchurch: Staying in an alpaca farm and take the historic tram in the city center. Known as the “Garden City” to the world, the city enjoys warm weather, abundant sunshine, flower beds, and an expansive Botanic Garden – until it was devastated of being the epicenter of a 2011 earthquake. I witnessed how the city is being restored and it’s recovering.
