I ended my visits to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum with a heavy heart . I do hope the painful lessons would remind people the importance of lasting peace.
Christchurch is known as the “Garden City” due to its warm weather, abundance sunshine, flower beds and an expansive Botanic Garden. the city center of Christchurch was devastated of being the epicenter of an earthquake in 2011, and it might take a long time for the restoration work to be done. Hopefully it will recover very soon!
While Kyoto is simply irreplaceable, I had sweet moments walking in “mini-Kyoto” – Kurashiki, Japan, during the cherry blossoms season. Our first sight of the canal area was stunning – just like we were in a movie set of an old Japanese movie. I could imagine the canal would look much more vibrant when the willow on both sides of the canal turns green.

It was the first time that I saw Sakura at night and the serenity and tranquility of the garden even calmed me more. Back home, as I flip through the photos the Sakura was illuminated from the complete darkness, as if a postcard with special printing effects on the flower…
The Matsuyama experience continues in the beautiful Dōgo Onsen… Ride the classic locomotive, watch the cock tower chimes, shop for great local products, and enjoy a historic japanese hot spring bath experience!
One time I was exploring Hiroshima and ultimately I put Matsuyama and the Togo Onsen (Hotspring) on my itinerary.. If you are looking for something new, I would recommend this city and I had a great expereince!
The cherry is about to bloom just in time in the south of Korea. Once a year, the steaming food stalls, blooming flowers and carnival festivities spice up this little town’s quietness and celebrate the coming of spring.
