Antoni Gaudi’s organic and unique style in architecture has influenced the world profoundly and I admire his work so much for a long time. “Organic” is such a great, and truthful word to describe Gaudi’s work. He regarded a building as a human body covered with skin, the structure itself were flesh and bones, so it’s curvy, and it has an element of randomness to the way he created art. He had lived a long life and left the world many great works to appreciate – most of them are in the Mediterranean city Barcelona.
A free spot to have a magnificent panoramic view of the city of London – it’s modern, it’s hip and chic, it’s high, and it’s green!
The park is just getting more special – Yayoi Kusama is a world-recognized avant garde modern artist and her polka dots could be spotted and recognized by many many art-lovers in a heartbeat.
Outside the café you there is a pop-up gift shop and exhibit of Kusama’s exhibit imageries; something that art fans should not be missed! http://wp.me/p5Lw9a-co
Getting around the romantic Paris Vélib’ing to many iconic landmarks and attractions in a day for free (almost).
It is one of the most important and largest art museums in the world, where it would take you days, or even months to appreciate the precious exhibits one by one.
That was also the time I visited the Alexander McQueen’s exhibition – Savage Beauty. It was one of the most unforgettable and core-shaking exhibition that I have seen in recent years.
The great thing about DDP is because it’s open for public, it’s permenant, it’s located in a prime location, it has shops and it constantly has different theme exhibitions; therefore, people from all walks of life could be inside the building and “enjoy something” with it.
Unlike many Europe cities, Porto is hilly. Although it doesn’t has a spectacular harbor view from the peak like Hong Kong, it has a double-deck iron bridges that spans the Duoro River. Standing on the hundred-year-old Dom Luis I bridge I could view seagulls soaring freely over the body of water, and layers and layers of houses making a concerted effort to Porto’s spectacular skyline.
Interest spots in the city area are probably the art and history museums in town centre. The Heard Museum exhibits Native American’s art and culture, and illustrates the impact of their integration with the new colonists.
