Holding the visitor’s guide in my hands it says “Welcome, a powerful place”. I was inspired the moment I stepped out of the Union Station, staring at the crossroad of politics and culture, and history and style. Washington D.C. takes at least 3 days for a first-timer to have an overview of what the cities have to offer. I ended my visits to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum with a heavy heart . I do hope the painful lessons would remind people the importance of lasting peace.
